PM Malcolm Turnbull is away oversea and DPM Barnaby Joyce is in charge.
Labor has tried to challenge his eligibility acting as MP of New England, DPM and currently acting PM due to s44.  There has been increasing calls for his resignation. Social media auspol in particular the opposition have also been interested to find out if his decisions are lawful. Regarding Coalition gaining powers with only one seat majority, conflict of interest is noted in parliament a few times this week.  Barnaby Joyce has saved himself with his own vote. "Why does Labor have a problem with George Brandis? Here’s a quick list of the issues Mark Dreyfus has been pursuing against the man who is meant to be Australia’s Attorney-General: misled the Parliament, undermined the office of Solicitor-General; and appointed 37 people to jobs which pay up to $370,000 when none of these positions were advertised, there was no merit-based selection process and no departmental advice.
Penny Wong was brilliant in Senate Estimates when Brandis went to his default mode of total arrogance. Penny hit straight back: “Would you just like to be pompous for the whole day, or only for this question?"

BARRIE CASSIDY: Now I want to ask you about the sale of the Port of Darwin to the Chinese. The Americans are not happy about it, but it appeared as if they didn't really know about it either.

CLIVE PALMER: Yeah, it's very disturbing and I think it's - you wouldn't be happy if you sent your son down to serve in this country, to protect this country and find out a foreign power had acquired a property right next to where he was based and certainly it puts into challenge all the good work that has been done over so many years for our Australian-US alliance. The simple is that the Government should resume the report now, the Federal Government, give the China fees back their money and keep our faith with our American allies.
